Basic Fingerpicking Guitar Technique
Learn beginner guitar fingerpicking technique! When playing fingerstyle, we use fingers to pluck the strings. In this lesson we will learn what finger to use when plucking. The thumb is used to play the bass strings (6, 5, 4). The index finger is used for the 3rd string. The middle finger is used for the 2nd string and the ring finger is used for the 1st string. The chords itself will determine what string the thumb will play on. We will use Em-C-G-D chords as an example. |
